With Maria taking a break from singing from the end of January 2010 Mervyn J Futter will be available only as a Solo arrtiste. His choice of material will suit all venues, lots for the Line or Partner dancer, freestyle festival or concert. Merv performs with top quality solid backing tracks produced in his own Oasis Recording Studio. Along with his faithful Tokia Telecaster Guitar, Merv will be able to deliver a full band sound and keep those feet tapping. All types of clubs will be catered for including Line Dancing.

Merv or Mervyn J Futter as he is better known, is a familiar face on the country music scene, he has had the opportunity to support some of the biggest names working throughout the British Isles, and indeed abroad.

Mervyn has been involved in music nearly all his life, starting off in the early 1970's in a Rock & Blues Band, called Barnaby. Then moving into the Folk Clubs, before joining Spring Fever a function band, in the late 1970's. It was after his time in Spring Fever he realised that Country Music was his real love, and in the early 1980's decided to go it alone which was the start of Mervyn J Futter.

Mervyn didn't look back, winning a number of awards from Clubs & Festivals all over the UK, along with his recording of "You Are No Angel" becoming a national dance floor favourite, Mervyn soon became one of the most popular acts on the Country circuit.

He not only became known for his singing, but his song writing, writing some beautiful songs, which still get requested in his shows today many years after they were first written. Mervyn has also become a popular compere and stage manager working at a number of the largest festivals around the UK..
